Appointments
Routine Appointments
You can book a surgery appointment in person, by phone during opening hours, or online 24/7.
Our call handlers use a GP-designed system to ask questions and direct you to the right clinician. We aim to provide appointments quickly, but if you request a specific clinician, you may need to wait longer.
If you ever if you wish to see a certain clinician, you may need to wait longer.
Cancelling Appointments
If you can't attend your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible online, in person, or by phone.
Failure to notify us may result in a DNA letter, and repeated no-shows could lead to removal from our practice register.
Every missed appointment costs the NHS £120.

Training Practice
The Practice is a training center for future GPs, with fully qualified doctors providing care while they train with Dr Hubbard, Dr Clark and Dr Forshaw as their mentors. Feel free to ask a staff member if you have questions about this.
Care Navigators
Ever wondered why reception staff ask why you need to see a GP or Nurse? It’s not being nosey—it’s to direct you to the right care.
At Don Valley Healthcare, trained care navigators ensure you see the most suitable healthcare professional.
If they suggest an alternative healthcare professional to what you would expect, it’s because they can provide the treatment you need.

Chaperones
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required.
This chaperone may be a family member or friend or a trained member of staff. If you wish for a staff member, please ask at reception.
